The Kelly Dancers
have performed throughout the Valley of the Sun for conventions, clubs, organizations, luncheons, adult centers, hospitals,
care centers, hotels, and resorts. They have performed at major venues including Phoenix Symphony Hall, Phoenix Civic
Plaza Convention Center, The Performing Arts Theater, The Herberger Theater, The Sundome Center for the Performing Arts.
In 1982, Kathleen Kelly taught tap dance classes at a local adult center.
She was invited to have her class perform in a YMCA show. After performing in several shows around Phoenix, Kathleen
opened her own dance studio, and in 1983 she formed The Kelly Dancers.

Dancers particularly enjoy performing for charity functions because the results are so rewarding. Since
1987, The Kelly Dancers have performed their outstanding
Christmas show at the Christmas tree trimming party in Heritage Square, entertaining the physically and mentally challenged
children.
The women who perform with The
Kelly Dancers found that dancing has kept them young at heart. Dancing has helped them both physically
and mentally. Some of the women have survived cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, and the loss of loved ones. They
have discovered tap dancing is good for the body, mind, and spirit. When The Kelly
Dancers arrive for classes or rehearsal they leave their troubles behind. The Kelly Dancers enjoy learning, and like to work
hard so they can excel on stage during live performances.
Kathleen Kelly teaches tap dance classes and also teaches affordable private
lessons at her dance studio. If you want to become a Kelly Dancer,
it may take one or two years depending on a few factors, but the reward is worth it. No dance background is necessary,
